Romantic Tablescapes

Setting up a table at home is easy and beautiful, and it also means you don’t have to miss out on going to any fancy restaurants this Valentines. We have put together an easy and simple way for you to replicate our tablescape, and bring all the magic home! This would be great if you are looking to surprise your other half, or cheer them up in this somewhat gloomy lockdown. We have made it super easy for you to create this set up in your home!

Charger plates, napkins and menu

To create the same look as you may see in a restaurant, matching charger plates and napkins are key. Red would be the choice for a romantic setting. Napkin rings add another element to a great setting however they are not necessary. To go that extra step, you could also create a simple menu online if you have already planned out your meal.

Candles, candles and more candles

To really set a romantic ambience, it really is all about the candles. Pillar candles in large candle holders and long candlesticks in candlestick holders. You can also add a handful of tealights in tealight holders between the two plate settings. Not only do all the candles set the ambience, they also provide enough light between you! The more candles you have, the less lights or lamps you will need to keep switched on. Remember to always use candle holders.

Petals

Petals (red in particular but pink or white work as well) soften the whole set up, make it super romantic and also brighten up the table. Make sure there’s plenty of petals scattered between the plate settings and around the candles.

Crockery

Fill the set up with plates, cutlery, wine glasses and a wine bucket (if there is any wine).

Music

The final touch to any romantic dining experience is music! Put on some soft tunes to play in the background.
